Bonfires
Once again their gathering
to celebrate the bonfires of
the night, Come far and near
for to hear the sweet sweet
sound of the Uilleann pipes,
Poets and writers of great
songs, Celtic music all
night long, It's what we
call the fest in May, I'm
over here myself from the
U.S.A.
Again I'll be meeting all
the people that one time I
used to know, One by one
they're growing old, seems
to me that my life's put on
hold, It's nice to have
their company, it brings
back all memories, I believe
my destiny's to be here one
more year for to see,
The bonfires lighting up the
skies
Here in the West, no one can
rest
We're having a ball, there's
music for all
You son of a gun, drink up
and have fun
We'll be here till dawn.
On my way to Galway Bay to
listen to the ocean wild and
free, There's fishermen from
Crossmaglen casting out
their nets into the sea,
sometimes I think it's time
to stay I've been away too
long but I'll be back again
someday to hear the music
and once more to see
