Bonfires

Once again their gathering to celebrate the bonfires of the night, come far and near for to hear the sweet sweet sound of the Uilleann pipes, poets and writers of great songs, Celtic music all night long, It's what we call the fest in may, I'm over  here myself from the USA.

Again I'll be meeting all the people that one time I used to know, one by one they're growing old, seems to me that
my life's put on hold,It's nice to have their company, it brings back all my memories, I believe my destiny's to be here one more year for to see,

The bonfires lighting up the skies, here in the West, no one can rest, we're having a ball, there's music for all, You son of a gun, drink up and have fun
we'll be here till dawn

On my way to Galway Bay to listen to the ocean's wild and free, there's fishermen from Cross-meglen casting out their nets into the sea, sometimes I think it's time to stay, I've been
away too long they say, but I'll be back again some day, to hear the music and once more
to see
